Edgar Allan Poe Double Header:
The Tell-Tale Heart & The Cask of Amontillado
A safe, socially-distant adventure in pandemic theatre-going, this pair of gothic short-stories is available for private audiences of 20 or fewer. Seated in a socially distant, cabaret-style, and staged as a séance, you will conjure the narrators of Poe's stories to "visit" through the medium of a single live performer. We'll preset your table with sealed bottles of bubbly and individually wrapped dark-chocolates, to help.
The Poe Double Header is the first offering from The Hanover Theatre Repertory, a new initiative of The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts that serves to engage, entertain and energize audiences with dynamic theatrical productions made in and for Worcester's BrickBox Theater, focusing on classics, modern-classics, and classics-inspired works. The Poe Double Header is performed and directed by Livy Scanlon, who serves as the Managing Director of the Worcester BrickBox Theater, and is appearing courtesy of Actors' Equity Association, which has approved this event as one of the first indoor performances allowed in the country since March.
