Stage Combat (Grades 6-12)
Learn how to slap, punch or fall on stage without hurting yourself or others in the process. Students will be introduced to the design, practice and performance of staged fighting. The class will focus on unarmed, or hand-to-hand stage combat. Students will explore the techniques used to create the illusion of danger and the means by which we use violence to tell stories on stage and screen. Emphasis will be placed on safety, partnering and physicality.
