Join us on March 22nd at 4:30 pm for this free, family-friendly event.
Hosted by Maynard Okereke of The Hip Hop Science Show, attendees will hear about inspiring “space” stories from our keynote speakers, including space luminary Dr. Alan Stern, Daniel Hastings, President of AIAA, Dr. Makenzie Lystrup, former head of NASA’s Goddard Spaceflight Center and a special presentation from a local astronaut. Be the first to preview the new documentary short “Robert Goddard: Father of the Space Age”, and hear a live performance of a new original Goddard song. Kids will enjoy the "History of Space" video, watch their peers perform readings from Goddard’s writings and much more. Stick around after the show to meet our special guests for book signings and selfies, and visit our merchandise table.
Goddard: Father of the Space Age is a celebratory event and the culmination of a week-long series of events celebrating Goddard’s successful launch of the first modern rocket 100 years ago. For more information on this and the week-long series visit: firstlaunchcentennial.org
